Jonathan Pugh-Smith is a Partner and General Fund Counsel at BU. Prior to his current role, he was General Counsel – Funds and Compliance Officer, Europe, at Bregal Investments for twelve years. Jonathan began his career at Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP, where he trained and qualified as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales, and completed a secondment as in-house counsel at Schroders plc. Jonathan has also spent time as a Legal Consultant in the Philippines for an anti-trafficking NGO and continues to act as an advocate in this field as well as a Director for a multi-national anti-trafficking charity outside of his role at BU. Jonathan graduated from Durham University with a degree in Geography.
